Seeking Volunteers or a Small Team to Fill Vacant Positions:

Editor + Layout Planner

SPAG Magazine is seeking people to take on volunteer positions currently filled by our Editor, Vicki Nunn, as she is looking to retire.

Do you have editorial and writing skills and a passion for a ministry in Christian publishing? Do you have some graphic designing skills or experience in social media?

We’re seeking either a couple of people or a small team, to take on the roles of volunteer Editor and/or Layout Planner.

Editor:

The Editor is responsible for sourcing articles; working with our regular contributors for articles; editing as well as writing articles; and contributing to the development of SPAG Magazine and its team.

A high level of writing and editing skills and experience are a necessity. Some social media experience would be desirable.

The Editor will need to work directly with the Layout Planner or with the team to ensure the growth and development of SPAG Magazine to ensure it reaches its goals.

Layout Planner:

The Layout Planner puts the magazine together, sources and creates suitable images for articles, posters, adding links and more.

The position of Layout Planner involves laying out the magazine pages with articles and images in a professional manner. You can see examples of what is needed in our current issue (see our front webpage for the link)

A high level of experience with MS Word or compatible program are vital, plus experience in a graphics program is highly desirable.

The Layout Planner will need to work directly with the Editor or with the team to ensure the growth and development of SPAG Magazine to ensure it reaches its goals.

SPAG Magazine’s Goals:

To support, encourage and challenge Christian adults in their walk, and to honour and exalt God.

Initially SPAG Magazine’s focus was on single Christians (SPAG = Single Person Approved by God), but as we gained interest from married Christians in our varied articles, we worked to provide articles for all Christian adults, while including at least 1 article in each issue suitable for singles.

Please submit your application and include your responses to the following selection criteria:
